Visa requirements for South Africans moving to the UK
Getting a visa for the UK can be a challenging task. However if you have the correct motivation, the required documents and fit into one of the categories that allows you to gain entry to the UK you will not have a problem.
You may have heard of “horror stories” of South Africans being turned back and not allowed into the UK – they are true, but the reasons are normally due to people trying their luck and not following the correct procedures.
Don’t forget they have a massive immigration issue (especially with asylum seekers) and therefore if your paperwork or credentials are not in order you WILL be turned back. Our advice is not to try you luck but rather follow the correct channels no matter what visa you are applying for.
