    Posted: 18 Nov 2008 at 6:11am
Hello all,

I organise a monthly expats meetup through Facebook for expats from everywhere.  We'd love to have any of you who are interested come and meet up with us.  We do have a few South African members, but also people from all over the world.

Our next meet up is at The Stag on East Terrace & Rundle Street at about 6pm on Wednesday 3 December.  There are more details here:

The whole point of the group is to meet new people and support each other in our new home.

Hi there,

I am a South African in Durban who has just accepted a job in Adelaide !  I had a quick week visit last week to see Adelaide and meet the company in person.  They sent me an offer on friday, but..... I am SO -O-O-O nervous about coming now!!!  i can't believe that I finally have my dream come true (job offer, company paying for the whole move etc) and I am nervous.

What is it like iin Adelaide, where is a good place to live, good schools etc etc.. can you help ????

Hi

My husband and I are South African, living in the UK and are moving to Adelaide in August with our two daughters, 4 and 6.

I am beginning to research where to live and school etc, any advise?

Hi there,

I am fortunate enough to have had a relocation company assisting me (thanks to my company) and they are excellent.  And as for where to go... it depends on where yu are used to.

Where did you live in SA?

Hi
We left South Africa 10 years ago, lived in Geneva for 8 years and now in the UK for the last 2 years. So I am looking for a nice safe family area with good schools. An expat social area is preferrable. Any ideas?

Hey Adelaideans,
We arrive December 8th, and although we will be busy sorting stuff......
Are there any events we should be putting in our Diary? I can only go 24 hours between parties!
P.S Christmas and New Year are already in there
I heard rumours there was going to be a massive PIA conga on the beach!

A  Adelaide  Expat meetup  group and Boston group are active in Adelaide, NC now. They organize hockey nights, game nights, canadian thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, St-Jean Baptiste and Adelaide day parties, golf, street hockey, and all sorts of other activities.

Its only been 8 months for us but seems so much longer, we were lucky we felt settled after only a few months here, i was saying to someone yesterday you know when you live somewhere and it just feels right, like you are meant to be there, well thats how it is for us here, like its meant to be. Long may it continue to make us happy. Penny Auction | Penny Auctions

f anyone fancies it, there's a few of us meeting for coffee and chat at Caffe Buongiorno, Tea Tree Plus (in the same block as |d vitaminer |mangel på d vitamin Toys R Us) on Wednesday 5th December from 10:30am. Feel free to send me a message if you want to avoid that 'wondering if those people there are the ones from British Expats' feeling, or just turn up and look for the tall woman with messy long golden blonde hair (it's what it says on the Clairol packet, ok!!) drinking tea rather than coffee and gazing at the wonderful cakes thinking she really shouldn't, but probably will - that's me!!d vitamin |d vitamin mangel | d vitamin mangel symptomer

Hi everyone, Still in UK at the moment but coming over for a reccie at the end of May then making final move over at the beginning of October. Is the 'childfree' meeting a regular thing? We would definately be interested in coming (not that we have anything against kids - got 4 of our own, but grown up now), it would be nice to meet others in our situationcafepress coupon code | cafepress coupon | cafepress promo code

With regards to accommodation, I haven’t found anywhere to stay as of yet, I’ve only had a quick look. Would it be best to arrange   Fifty Shades of Grey |  Fifty Shades |  50 Shades of Grey somewhere before or wait until I’m over there? What do you think that I’d end up paying? Is it best to pre-book a hotel for say a couple of weeks until I’m settled in.

Being in work will not allow you to extend or get a second visa. It is possible to get a second WHV if you carry out some specific regional work for three months.  Watch NFL Games live  You could look to do this at the beginning of your trip and get it out of the way.
