MTN iTalk merger approved
South Africa's Competition Tribunal approved the merger between mobile network operator MTN and iTalk Cellular today. MTN, a major South Africa-based mobile telephone network operator which provides mobile voice and data services, would acquire the remaining 59% of iTalk's shares, said tribunal registrar Lerato Motaung in a statement.
